43rd Annual International Antigua Charter Yacht Meeting Was Huge Success!
International Yacht Vacations & Charters Magazine Show's Main Media Sponsor

(December 2-7, 2004) - On the scene on the beautiful island of Antigua, YV&C's editorial team inspected charter yachts of all sizes. The 43rd annual Antigua Charter Yacht Meeting in 2004 hosted more than 100 yachts in three marinas, including the newly refurbished Nelson's Dockyard. According to Afsaneh Franklin, show administrator, more than 550 attendees--charter brokers, agents, and press from all over the world- participated at this year's show. Also this year, YV&C published the first "official show directory" of the Antigua Charter Yacht Meeting.

YV&C Favorites

So far, on the second day of the show, our favorites include FOUR WISHES, with an Asian-inspired highly textural interior and a driving range on the sundeck; and TIARA, the largest sailing yacht built in New Zealand. The 54m yacht, just delivered in May, has an art deco mahogany and leather interior, sleeps 12, and charters for about $150,000 per week.

Following is YV&C's ACYM2004 photo album which includes the opening day welcome party and the photos from the best party of the show on board JANIE. Enjoy!

Subject: RE: YOUR NEWS RELEASE OF 5th DECEMBER 2004
Date: Mon, 20 Dec 2004 15:10:32
Dear Mr Matusow,
We received your news release regarding our PRIVATE PARTY on board ANNALIESSE on Sunday 5th December. We were very surprised at your report which stated that ' we could not report much from this boat' at your national Sales manager Jim Hanchrow visited on board and was taken on a full tour on the 4th of December.
For your information, this year's Inaugural Private Party on board ANNALIESSE was a very private affair with personal invitations issued by Mr Liveras well in advance of the show. The party was not open to everyone attending the Antigua Show and we are now aware that your publication is the main media sponsor and the producer of the Official Show Directory, and understand your disappointment at not receiving an invitation, however, please do accept our apologies and we do invite your publication to visit us on board at the Genoa Show in May.
With kind regards
Martina Rakus

Note: Between this year's two great December shows, ACYM2004 and SCYE2004, we had the honor and privilege of sharing some happy photographs and memories with all fellow magazine publishers except Yachting magazine and Power & Motoryacht magazine, which both declined our request. Sources say these two magazines prefer to continue their communication with their fellow publishers through their attorneys. :-)
