"Site - Seeing" the World's Largest Boat Show October 30 - November 3, 2008

Marine dreams come to life when the world’s largest boat show docks at six sites in the heart of Fort Lauderdale. From October 30 – November 3, 2008 at the 49th Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show you’ll be able to find everything you need for your favorite marine past-times. Over $3 billion worth of boats, yachts, superyachts, electronics and accessories will cover more than three million square feet of exhibit space on land and in water throughout six different sites. Below, see where everything can be found, how to navigate between the sites and where you can get your tickets:

Bahia Mar: Superyachts, Cruisers, Inflatables, Electronics, Accessories and Live Entertainment

  • Superyacht Showcase – See superyachts (yachts 80-feet and over) from the world’s best-known builders showcased at the Bahia Mar face docks, creating an amazing waterfront display. 
  • The Yacht Builders & Designers Tent – The industry’s top yacht builders and designers can be found under 60,000 sq. ft. of an air-conditioned tent showcasing the newest and most innovative advances in form and style.  Show attendees will be surrounded by the finest in custom superyacht engineering, designing, and decorating, as well as extraordinary displays from residential and resort island destinations.
  • The International Yacht Builders Pavilion –The place to see what the rest of the world is building. From necessities to luxuries, the world’s most talented and influential manufacturers and shipyards will be here to show up-to-date and extravagant options and amenities for yacht building.  A broad range of countries are represented including Italy, New Zealand, Japan, Germany, France, United States and more, inside the immense 15,000 sq. ft. pavilion. 
  • Powerful Engines – Need more power? Or less power?  Select from the newest engines, generators and air conditioners for small boats, mid-size cruisers and superyachts from every leading manufacturer worldwide.
  • All-In-One Accessories Tents – Find a worldwide array of marine accessories. There’s no doubt that you’ll be able to find exactly what you’re looking for, from the newest trends in electronics to the simplest of accessories.  It’s a boater’s dream of new designs, innovations and offerings in marine electronics, fishing equipment, personal watercraft accessories, insurance and finance, nautical clothing, jewelry and more. 
  • Boats In Water and On Land – Dream big at Bahia Mar.  The Bahia Mar Face Dock features a stunning display of superyachts from 80- to 180-feet.  Bahia Mar North Side includes powerboats, sportfishers, family cruisers, high-performance boats, brokerage boats and even more superyachts.  Bahia Mar South Side includes motoryachts, picnic boats, trawlers, express cruisers, and more sportfishers, brokerage yachts and several superyachts.  You’ll also find hundreds of trailerable boats, inflatables and personal watercrafts covering the land area as well.
  • Beyond Boats – Make sure to visit the International Food Garden and floating cocktail barges to enjoy delicious food and live musical entertainment.

Las Olas Marina: Catamarans and Brokerage Boats
The Las Olas Marina is just a short walk, or a quick water shuttle ride, from the Hall of Fame Marina.  This catamaran-only section features power and sail “cats”.The Las Olas Marina also displays a large selection of brokerage boats in all sizes.

Greater Ft. Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center: Boats, Accessories and Fishing Fun

  • 1st Floor – The main floor of the convention center boasts the world’s best selection of fishing boats, family cruisers, runabouts, flats boats, center consoles, jet boats, engines, fishing equipment and accessories.  Marine seminars and the Kids’ Fishing Clinics can also be found here.
  • 2nd Floor – Take a break to indulge in delicious food from the freshly prepared buffet on the second floor lounge.
  • 3rd Floor – More than just boats… Find accessories of all kinds including jewelry, nautical clothes and shoes, marine artwork, décor and much more.
  • Sailfish Pavilion – This pavilion, located outside the convention center, features even more runabouts, trailers, personal watercraft, inflatable boats, high-performance boats, center consoles, cuddy cabins, family cruisers and accessories.

The Fort Lauderdale Grande Hotel & Yacht Club and Pier 66 Marina: Motor And Sailing Yachts
Motor and sailing yachts line these sites located across from each other on the Intercoastal Waterway, adjacent to the 17th Street Causeway Bridge.  Pier 66 and the Florida Lauderdale Grande both have a wide selection of vessels to see.

Hall of Fame Marina:  Brokerage Boats and The Exotic Car Showcase
As you head north from the Bahia Mar F Docks, you will find a stunning array of high-quality, desirable brokerage boats.  You can also get a premier look at new models of speed and sophistication at the Exotic Car Showcase, located on land across from the boats. 

Show Transportation System: Navigating the Show
You can travel between the show’s six sites and designated parking facilities with the Show Transportation System.  The Show Transportation System includes:

  • Shuttle Buses sponsored by Raymarine. Free transportation routes between all six show sites, War Memorial Auditorium parking and downtown Las Olas Riverfront parking.
  • Water Shuttles sponsored by Yanmar Marine.
    • $10 gets you an all-day pass for unlimited usage of the water shuttles.
    •  Waterfront location pick-up points are:
      • Bahia Mar Yachting Center
      • Broward County Convention Center
      • Fort Lauderdale Grande Hotel & Yacht Club
      • Hyatt Regency Pier 66 Hotel & Marina
    • Riverboats from Las Olas Riverfront - Riverboats are free from Las Olas Riverfront 

E-Ticketing Now Available For Advance Purchase
Tickets are available from the box offices at Bahia Mar, Hall of Fame Marina, Las Olas Marina, the Convention Center and offsite at Las Olas Riverfront where you would ride the Riverboats - or avoid the lines and purchase tickets through E-Ticketing.  Just visit www.showmanagement.com, and then click on the "Buy Tickets ONLINE" link box on the main page.  Admission is valid for the same-day entrance at all show sites.
