Major Superyachting force OCEAN Independence Cavendish White celebrated its 3rd birthday under the OCEAN Independence banner, Monday 2nd June 2008. In honor of this occasion, the now 12 location-strong superyacht sales, charter, management, new build and consultancy company, made their now traditional donation to charity. In 2007 the donation was made to the Global Coral Reef Association to support their worldwide efforts to protect and grow coral reefs.

This year the charity personally chosen for the donation by the OCEAN Independence Cavendish White managing partners, Peter Hürzeler and Nick Dean, was the Aqualung Trust. The Aqualung trust was created by much respected industry colleague Nick Baker, who recently passed away. The trust brings together four highly reputable charities, focusing on cancer research & palliative care as well as peace, health care and emergency relief worldwide through donations to: ICR (The institute for Cancer Research), Merlin, Encompass, Magpie cancer centre campaign.
