Tuesday's Drawing Produces Another MATCH 6 Jackpot Win
Tuesday's Drawing Produces Another MATCH 6 Jackpot Win

MIDDLETOWN, Pa., Dec. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- One ticket matched all six winning numbers, 24-25-26-27-48-49, in the Dec. 25 MATCH 6 lotto drawing. Tuesday night's winning jackpot is worth $500,000 cash, less 25 percent federal withholding. It is the 38th MATCH 6 jackpot won since the game's inception.

Pennsylvania Lottery officials cannot announce the identity of Tuesday's MATCH 6 jackpot winner until a prize has been claimed and a ticket validated. The Pennsylvania Lottery encourages the holder of a winning ticket to sign the back of the ticket, contact a financial adviser, and then contact Pennsylvania Lottery Headquarters, (717) 702-8146.

MATCH 6 jackpots must be claimed by presenting a winning ticket at Pennsylvania Lottery Headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County, or at any of the Lottery's seven area offices located throughout the Commonwealth. Claims may be filed at Headquarters Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., and from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at area Lottery offices.

The MATCH 6 jackpot returns to an estimated $500,000 for the Friday, Dec. 28, drawing. Live, televised MATCH 6 drawings are conducted every Tuesday and Friday at 7 p.m., along with The Daily Number, BIG 4, and CASH 5.

How to play MATCH 6 lotto: Players receive three plays for $2. Players select six numbers from 1 to 49, or they may elect the quick-pick, computer-selection method for the first line of play. The PA Lottery quick-picks an additional two sets of six numbers from one to 49, for each play. This gives each player three lines of six numbers each, for a total of 18 numbers. MATCH 6 players can match winning numbers on one line or a combination of lines any of 11 different ways to win cash prizes. To win the jackpot -- which starts at $500,000 and grows until it is hit -- players must match all six numbers drawn in a single, horizontal line of play. Odds of winning the jackpot prize are 1-in- 4,661,272.3; overall odds of winning any prize are 1-in-5.9.

About the Pennsylvania Lottery: The Pennsylvania Lottery remains the only state lottery that designates all its proceeds to programs that benefit older residents. Since its inception 36 years ago, the Pennsylvania Lottery has contributed more than $17.4 billion to programs that include property tax and rent rebates; free and reduced-fare transit; the low-cost prescription drug programs PACE and PACENET; long-term care services; and the 52 Area Agencies on Aging, including 650 full- and part-time senior centers throughout the state. The Pennsylvania Lottery reminds its players to play responsibly. Players must be 18 or older.

I met someone! See, I never liked caramel--to me it was always a chocolate wannabe that just wasn't cool enough to have cocoa in it. And then two days ago, at a little paradise called the Whole Foods chocolate aisle, I finally met a caramel I kind of like. Really, really like. I bought...

Like people, not all desserts are photogenic. I'm kidding! Well, kind of. Since I started this blog in May, I've been eating dessert everyday (even when I'm sick). Sometimes three times a day on a good day (or a horrible one). So if I don't blog about it, it's either, one, they're not ...
Yesterday, a chocolate bar made me swoon. I've had a mad crush on chocolate-covered bacon since I first blogged about it a few months ago. But since I haven't gotten around to making it, the next best thing was Mo's Bacon Bar by Vosges (pronounced "Voujsh"), a luxury chocolate brand th...
