"There are lots of yachts here to see, lots of captains and crews to meet," she says. "Our job is to come and see for our clients so that we can sell the yachts and the product first-hand, so that we can show them what is available, and reassure them that we know the crews, that we have inspected the vessels and that they do meet our criteria."

From being a charter broker for the past 15 years and working on charter yachts for 7-8 years before that, Webster is uniquely positioned to comment on the industry and is one of the distinguished members of the 2004 Editorial Advisory Board of International Yacht Vacations & Charters Magazine.

Genoa is especially important as a chance each year for brokers to view yachts that don't cross the ocean and go to the annual Antigua show, she says.
