SuperYacht Radio (www.SuperYachtRadio.com) interviews Michael White, chairman of CavendishWhite Ltd, which he started in 1989 with Mark Cavendish. (www.cavendishwhite.com), and chairman of the 16th International Yacht Charter Meeting in Genoa.

"Attendance is good, and now the real business of inspecting the boats is beginning," says White. Specifically directed toward the trade, charter brokers get a chance at the Genoa show to check that the boats have being pampered physically and that the crews are up to the highest possible standards.

"On paper one boat can look as good as another," he says, "but if the crew aren't up to snuff or if the vessel has had some maintenance issues with it, it can be a very different kettle of fish."
