TravelChannel.com Acquires Online Travel Magazine World Hum
- Acquisition of Trusted Travel Resource Provides TravelChannel.com Visitors Enhanced Access to Insights and Advice from Top Tra

SILVER SPRING, Md., May 21 /PRNewswire/ -- TravelChannel.com, the flagship website of the Travel Channel, today announced that it has acquired World Hum, a leading online travel magazine. As part of the acquisition, visitors to TravelChannel.com will be able to access exclusive content written by World Hum's editors and network of contributors. In addition to the content available on TravelChannel.com, loyal World Hum visitors can continue to access the online magazine's full content at http://www.worldhum.com/.

Experienced travel writers and founding editors of World Hum, Jim Benning and Michael Yessis, will become regular contributors to TravelChannel.com as a result of the acquisition. Jim Benning has written for outlets including National Geographic Adventure, National Geographic Traveler, Outside, the Washington Post and the Los Angeles Times Magazine, among other publications. Michael Yessis has worked as an editor at Men's Fitness, Men's Journal and Journey magazines, and as the Destinations Editor at USATODAY.com.
