New World-Class Golf Community Planned for North Carolina's Heartland
Mill Run Development Group Sets The Course For Cutter Creek Plantation

SNOW HILL, N.C., Oct. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Mill Run Development Group, LLC, today announced plans to build a new classic American club community and championship golf course situated in the town of Snow Hill, North Carolina. Cutter Creek Plantation is a one-of-a-kind community providing residents with the best of what Eastern North Carolina has to offer.

"Our location is one of our greatest assets," said Buzz Shackelford, managing director for the project. "Residents will have all of the advantages of living in a small town, but they'll also have the convenience of being within close driving distance of city life, the ocean, and the mountains. They will have access to some of the best medical care and schools available. Shopping, restaurants, galleries, and entertainment venues are readily accessible. The airport is just ten minutes away and there's a baseball franchise right down the road."

Cutter Creek Plantation's design was based on constructing a totally open environment. No single homesite abuts another homesite's back yard. And, with over 200 acres dedicated to the golf course, residents won't feel like it is crowding their space. "We want lots of open areas. We want to give the community an open feeling," said Larry Pate, Director of Operations.

Bob Moore of JMP Golf Design Group of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, will lead the design of the Audubon certified course. Moore's list of projects has included outstanding, world-class designs in the US, as well as award-winning private, public, and resort golf courses on five continents around the world. "The course will be an outstanding place to play," said Moore. "With over 7200 yards, it's going to be a monster from the back tees." But, it's the art of what JMP does that will make Cutter Creek's course stand out. "We selected JMP because they're the best at what they do. And, our goal is to create the best new golf course in the area," remarked Shackelford.

In addition to golf, Cutter Creek Plantation will include a wide range of amenities that will appeal to families with active lifestyles. A fitness center, swimming pool, clay tennis courts, and hiking trails are just a few of the on-site conveniences. An equestrian center will be situated across the road from the main entrance, which will include stables, as well as a large fenced pasture and riding area. Outdoor enthusiasts will also be able to enjoy fishing, boating, kayaking, and wildlife found on scenic Contentnea Creek, just minutes away.

The 634-acre Cutter Creek Plantation community will consist of over 700 homesites. In its initial release, 100 of those homesites are being made available for purchase and prices start in the $70,000's.

Construction of the community's infrastructure is expected to begin in early 2007 and golf course construction is anticipated to start later that summer.
